No one is greater than the other- "WE ARE ONE IN THE LORD"
Posted on March 3, 2015 at 1:04 PM |
Come people, "SHOW ME YOUR HANDS" be a member of our team!!! Do you want to do as Jesus has told us to do? John 13:14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. Mark your Calendars .... Friday, April 3, 2015 Let us "UNIT" on Good Friday!!! Take off work and bring the families.... Come.... Let us heal one and the other!!! We will all join together for our LORD JESUS and wash each others feet as he washed the Apostles feet.... You can join us even if we are miles and miles apart... Even if we are in a different country... At 3:00 on April 3, 2015 we are asking all churches all people who love our one and only true God to participate in the washing of the feet for our LORD OF LORDS AND KING OF KINGS.... ◄ Matthew 25:40 ► New International Version "The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.' We are asking you to please contact us and let us know if you are willing to be a member of our team. We will post your group name on our web. To show you that we appreciate you showing us the works of your hands. We also ask that you wash the feet in the same way as we are about to... The procedure is to pour water out from a cup or glass first thrice over the right foot and let the water trickle down into a basin or bowl (Saying out loud.... For you Almighty Father, For you the only begotten Son (Jesus), For you THE MOST HOLY SPIRIT.... Then say the Jews benediction for the washing of hands, yet we are saying as we are washing the feet... "Blessed art Thou, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with Thy commandments and has commanded us concerning the washing of thy feet.") and then pour water out from the same cup or glass and say the same words as you did on the right foot, thrice over the left foot and let the water trickle down into a basin or bowl --care being taken that the unwashed feet do not touch the water used for the washing. The feet are then dried with a towel as Jesus did for his Apostles with the towel that was wrapped around his waist. Contact Info: Author: Patti Cooper - Author Pin Name: Thomas C. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. 2 The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. 3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; 4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. 6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?” 7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” 8 “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.” 9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!” 10 Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” 11 For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean. 12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. |

I think one of the best ways we can point to Christ is through "acts of service." I'm not talking about handing out tracks or "door knocking"... I'm talking about good ol' fashion people helping people in need. If people ask why, we simply answer, "Because that's what Jesus would have done, and we're pretty excited about Jesus."
Will Mow for Jesus
The idea is simple. We want to serve people outside of our church community. So we challenge people IN our church to identify neighbors that are NOT in our church and then we'll go paint, clean, mow, trim and SERVE them in any way. One lady was so thankful, she wrote our local newspaper commenting how grateful she was. Great way to touch people outside the church.
I know you had this idea and then when I was searching for community ideas on how to share Jesus while helping people I came across this. Pretty neat how it all comes together. two people one vision and God, so I know it is possible. AMEN
